The American Museum of Natural History is one of the largest museums of its kind in the world, with millions of specimens and 42 exhibition halls.
With many permanent exhibits such as the Spitzer Hall of Human origins, the Fossil Halls, and the hall of meteorites amongst others, the museum is entertaining and educational.
There are regular temporary exhibitions, including IMAX 3d film screenings in the Samuel J and Ethel LeFrak Theater which boasts a forty-foot-high and sixty-foot-wide screen. A great place to take kids, they will be enthralled for hours.
