Tourist attractions in New York
Columbus Circle is located at the intersection between Central Park south and West, Broadway and 8th Ave, in the Midtown neighborhood.
It has been named after Christophe Colomb who is,according to history the man who discovered America.It is from this famous roundabout that all distances in NYC are measured and calculated. Frederick Law Olmsted thought of this circle as the entrance of Central Park, which was meant to be one of the biggest park in the world.Columbus Circle was designed by William Eno.
The circle may seem like a regular roundabout for many people but it is in reality a popular landscape of NYC. It has many features that justify its touristic attraction.

The Rockefeller Center is a complex in the center of Manhattan covering a range of 19 commercial buildings over 22 acres. Its location is between 48th and 51st streets.
The most famous of these 19 builidngs and the most visited is the GE building or 30 Rockefeller Place (30 Rock) as it is more commonly known.

The Empire State Building is one of the many symbols of NYC. It opened in 193& as the highest building in the world. Nowadays, because the Twin Tower are not part of the Big Apple's landscape anymore, the Empire State building is the highest skyscraper in town, standing at 1,250 feet tall.

The Veteran Day parade is not a true American tradition but more like an international manifestation in order to celebrate the Armistice ov the First World War. American go walking down the streets on this day to pay homage to those who fought in Europe. It was signed on the 11th of November and takes place on that very same day each year in NYC. It begins at 11 a.m. and lasts until 2 p.m. It starts on The Veterans Day Parade begins on Fifth Avenue at 23rd Street, and goes north along Fifth Avenue to 59th Street.
